This week, we pause to honor Gold Star Mothers and Families across our nation and to remember the lives and legacies of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
Their names, their stories, and their sacrifice must never be forgotten.
This Sunday, our community will come together for a historic moment in the Purple Heart City of Boerne, Texas—the unveiling and dedication of our Gold Star Monument at the Boerne Veterans Plaza.
This monument will stand as an everlasting reminder of those who gave their lives for our nation and of the mothers, fathers, spouses, children, siblings, and families who continue to carry their memory forward every single day.
We invite our community to join us this Sunday beginning at 10:00 a.m. for this special dedication, featuring a performance by the U.S. Army Band from Fort Sam Houston, guest speakers, and a special proclamation and dedication honoring our Gold Star community.
May this monument forever remind us that behind every Gold Star is a name, a life, a family, and a legacy that deserves to be remembered.
To our Gold Star Mothers and Families: we see you, we honor you, and we will never forget your loved ones.
